Through Private Coaching, Organizational Consulting, and The Self-Regulation Lab™ experiential workshops and learning experiences, Sechrist Consulting helps individuals and organizations strengthen awareness, improve functioning, develop practical skills, and apply what they learn to navigate challenges with greater clarity, resilience, effectiveness, and intention.
Whether you are leading a family, a business, or simply yourself through the challenges of everyday life, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Navigating change, supporting others, feeling overwhelmed, or seeking something better can be hard, confusing, and lonely. The core of this work is the understanding that people don’t stop being human when they become parents, leaders, executives, community members, caregivers, helping professionals or spouses. How we show up for others is directly related to how we show up for ourselves.
When emotions, stress, and automatic patterns drive our decisions, relationships, and behaviors, life often feels reactive and doesn't look the way we want it to. Learning how to better understand ourselves, work with our emotions, and regulate our responses creates greater clarity, leading to more intentional decisions, healthier communication, and the stronger connections we seek in every area of life.
Greater Self-Awareness: Learn to better understand your emotions, thoughts, patterns, and reactions so they inform your decisions rather than control them.
Stay Grounded Under Stress: Develop practical skills to navigate stress, uncertainty, conflict, and emotional overwhelm with greater clarity and intention.
Break Unhelpful Patterns & Reactions: Increase awareness of the habits, beliefs, emotional responses, and self-defeating cycles that keep you feeling stuck, exhausted, reactive, or disconnected.
Strengthen Communication & Relationships: Improve how you communicate, set boundaries, navigate conflict, and connect with others in both personal and professional environments.
Improve Performance Without Burning Out: Feeling better and functioning better are not separate goals. Function more effectively without relying solely on pressure, urgency, overworking, perfectionism, or constant self-sacrifice.
Respond Instead of React: Make decisions that reflect your values, priorities, and goals rather than operating on autopilot or reacting to circumstances around you.

Personalized virtual coaching for individuals ready to increase self-awareness, create meaningful change, and function more effectively in their work, relationships, and daily lives. Sessions blend practical strategies, emotional insight, and nervous system-informed approaches to help improve functioning, navigate challenges with greater clarity and resilience, and move forward in a way that feels sustainable.

For more than 25 years, I have worked alongside individuals and organizations facing real-life stress, change, and challenges. Throughout my career, I have served in clinical, operational, executive, training, crisis response, consulting, and program development roles within nonprofits, healthcare, behavioral health, first responder and community-based organizations.
Moving from working directly with individuals for their desired changes to working with individuals for the organizations desired goals, I began noticing that organizations functioning and outcomes were directly tied to how the employees were feeling and experiencing their lives. I was watching leaders and employees stress levels continue to climb and it was showing in poor performance and culture. When people are chronically stressed, overwhelmed, reactive, disconnected, or operating in survival mode, organizations often experience increased conflict, higher turnover, reduced effectiveness, communication breakdowns, quality concerns, and leadership strain. Strategies that had once worked to help improve performance no longer were. I realized that everything I learned working directly with clients was applicable to leaders and employees because people don’t stop being human when they become a parent, spouse, executive, employee, helping professional, or any other role we take on.
People are often struggling because they don’t know how to break free from the chronic stress, automatic patterns, and general sense of being overloaded. The years of learned habits quietly (or loudly) shaped how they think, perceive, communicate, make decisions, lead, and live in every area of their life.
Through Sechrist Consulting and The Self-Regulation Lab™, I help individuals, groups and organizations improve how they show up in every area of their life. Whether targeting a specific area or wanting an overall change-through education, reflection, experiential learning, accountability, and practical skill and tool development, people learn what’s been holding them back from feeling better and living more in alignment with their desires.
Real experiences from individuals and organizations who have done this work.
Like many leaders, I had normalized operating under constant pressure. What I didn't realize was how much chronic stress was influencing my communication, decision-making, relationships, and overall effectiveness.
Working with Stacy helped me better understand my own patterns while developing practical skills I could apply every day. I became more intentional, less reactive, and better equipped to lead through challenges without feeling consumed by them.
This work changed not only how I lead, but how I move through life.
Jonathan S., Healthcare Executive
I was chronically overwhelmed and felt stuck in a cycle of over-responsibility, people-pleasing, and constantly putting myself last. Stacy never tried to "fix" me. Instead, she helped me better understand myself, recognize the patterns driving my stress, and develop practical self-regulation skills that I could apply in everyday life.
As I learned to listen to myself differently and respond with greater awareness, honesty, and self-compassion, everything began to change. I feel calmer, more grounded, and more intentional in my daily choices. The impact has extended far beyond me—it has transformed how I parent, how I show up as a partner, and how I connect with friends and the people I care about most.
I finally feel like I'm participating in my life instead of simply reacting to it.

I attended one of Stacy’s Women’s Self-Regulation Lab experiences as a guest of a friend and honestly wasn't sure what to expect. What surprised me most was how calm, relaxed, and grounded I felt by the end of the experience.
Stacy creates a welcoming, non-judgmental environment that makes it easy to slow down, reflect, and be honest with yourself. While I left feeling deeply restored, I also gained valuable insight into some of the patterns and habits that have been getting in the way of the life I want to live. The experience gave me practical tools, greater self-awareness, and several meaningful takeaways that I continue to use in everyday life.
The impact was significant enough that I am already planning to host a Women's Self-Regulation Lab experience of my own so I can share it with other women in my life.
